Proposal of Concatenated Retransmission Method for One-Seg and its Gap Filler

Abstract(in English) We have studied a re-transmission method for the broadcasting of signals to mobile terminals in areas such as underground shopping arcades and subway stations where the Digital Terrestrial Broadcasting wave cannot be received directly. We propose a method of One-Seg concatenated re-transmission in which firstly the corresponding segments form two or more received broadcasted waves are extracted, then concatenated together, and finally re-transmitted. In addition, we developed a Gap Filler that realizes this method. This paper describes the characteristics, functions and performance of this system.
