Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) For any design analysis, it is very important to have a real size visualization of the virtual world. However, the appearance of a virtual world differs from that of the real world. In particular, there are large disparities in the size of interior areas, such as rooms, even though the image is projected using the proper transformations to the correct size. The room appears larger than it is in reality, and as do objects close to the camera. We have experimented with the perceived "errors" in length and depth on CyberDome, a hemispherical visual display system, in order to find the cause of this difference.
