Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Shannon theory deals with various kinds of coding problems and investigates the limit of performance of the coding. Research areas in Shannon theory are developing year by year, and include source coding, channel coding, random number generation, prediction and hypothesis testing. This overview paper gives a brief tour of some of the celeblated results in channel coding problem, and desribes the development of Shannon theory. |
