Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) With high-performance of personal computer, and high-speed transmission line, the necessity of the technology to effectively serach and summarize the television contents has much increased. Then we focus our research on the television pictures of baseball games because the number of important scenes are limited compared to the total game time, and we have already achieved to add appropriate indexes (meta-data) to a baseball game video by analyzing it and to generate its digest that reflects user's preference. In this paper, the method of extracting excited scenes by using "left-right difference audio signal" is described. By using audio information, more accurate excited moments can be obtained compared with using only visual scene analysis..
