Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Fuji Xerox has developed 'real time image processing system' and introduced it on the product successfully. The achieved performance is 35DPM (resolution is 300dpi) and this high performance was only possible to be achieved on dedicated H/W like ASIC. The core technology is MXP5800 imaging processor that had been developed by the collaboration between Xerox corp. and Intel. This paper describes the introduction of MXP5800 internal architecture, its application system, and the investigation of 'ideal imaging processor'.
