A Study to Improve IQ Imbalance of Mixer

Abstract(in English) The decrease of the signal deterioration in Front-end is required for speeding up a wireless communication, and IQ imbalance is paid attention especially. The imperfection in the orthogonal modulator and the orthogonal demodulator is the great factors though there are some factors that the deterioration of IQ imbalance is caused in Zero IF and Low IF transceivers Some methods like the improvement by circuit technologies and calibration methods, etc. are proposed as this improvement measures. In this paper, we paid attention to Double Quadrature Mixer (DQM) that convert the frequency after the orthogonal conversion was done by using the filter. Then we studied the adoption of SAW transversal filter for the orthogonal conversion filter and made a prototype. And, we studied the receiver configuration to make the best use of its excellent IQ imbalance characteristics.
