Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A cognitive radio has attracted attention in these days as one of the solutions for shortage of frequency resource. The cognitive radio can adaptively change the parameters according to the recognized surrounding wireless environment. Wireless mesh networks have been considered one of the practical application system for the cognitive radio because mesh networks can expand the service area without giving interference toward the existed primary systems. In this paper, we discuss the routing design of the mesh network under the existence of the primary system by using the information of the primary system. In order to confirm the possibility of the cognitive radio mesh network, we evaluate the routing performance under the affect of shadowing environment. Moreover, we evaluate the effect of multi-band cognitive mesh network for avoiding the interference against the primary system.
