Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) UHF band RFID systems can read multiple tags in a wide communication area as compared with other frequency band RFID systems. To increase reading accuracy, systems will read many times over. To repeat reading, systems occupy limited electric wave resources, and the reading time increases. So it is demanded to reduce the reading time without increasing the communication rate. In this paper, we present an anti-collision algorithm to reduce the overhead of anti-collision for time-slotted method. Our suggestion has 2 phases. First, the number of slots is selected by the number of tags to be read. Secondly, our algorithm controls the use of time-slots based on estimated number of unread tags. Experimental results from simulations using our proposal have shown that systems could reduce the overhead of anti-collision by 60%.
