Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In order to deploy broadband access services to the Internet economically in a short period of time in digital divide areas such as developing countries, the use of microwave radio communication media is a key technology. "Flying S-CSMA/v-MCA" system can solve the RTT waste problem associated with the collision avoidance procedure fundamentally. Real-time services, such as VoIP and streaming video, have become increasingly popular. In order to respond to these service trends, a QoS control should be incorporated into the system. For this purpose, it is essential to consistently maintain a connection to the Ethernet, as the flying S-CSMA/v-MCA system uses a contention-based access mechanism with 1-persistenct. DiffServ-type QoS control with a p-persistent scheme is considered to be suitable for the network as traffic from no-QoS terminals is controlled with probability p, which changes dynamically according to the traffic on the entire network. The basic performances of the proposed scheme have been evaluated through computer simulations with statically offered traffic environment.
