Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In recent years, the amount of network traffic is rapidly increasing, which makes some traffic control necessary in order to maintain the efficient and stable network. Thus, the discrimination technique of Pure P2P traffic which occupies a large portion of present network traffic is important. Pure P2P file sharing traffic is dominant in the P2P traffic, and has become a hotbed of viruses and copyright problems. The authors have proposed a discrimination technique of Pure P2P file sharing traffic using only header information, without decoding payload part of monitored packets. In this paper, we propose a new discrimination technique of Pure P2P file sharing traffic by making use of new concepts of connection direction and Mutual Connections, for the purpose of further improvement of discrimination technique the authors have proposed. In addition, this paper verifies the effectiveness of the proposed technique by comparing it with the discrimination technique based on payload decipherment.
