Abstract(in English) Ultrasmall opacities (≦5mm in diameter) of the lung is detected on multidetector-row high-resolution CT (MD-HRCT). Ultrasmall opacities are possible to be pulmonary lesions including bronchioloalveolar carcinomas (BAC) and atypical adenomatous hyperplasias (AAH). But these are difficult to detect by usual computer-Aided diagnosis (CAD) systems used in CT examination of lung, which were not programmed for ultrasmall opacities. The aim of this study is to detect BACs and AAHs among ultrasmall opacities found by developed new our CAD from ultrasmall pulmonary lesion dataset examined pathologically in Niigata University.
