Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A novel 2-stage converter with 2-bus voltage levels is proposed in this paper. The proposed 2-stage converter consists of a first stage and a second stage. The low-level bus voltage is connected to the input of the first stage. On the other hand, the high-level bus voltage is connected to the output of the first stage in series. This series voltage is converted by the transformer as the second stage. In this case, most of energy is supplied from the high-level bus voltage, so that reducing the size of the first stage is achieved.
