Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Systemic Functional Linguistic Theory (SFLT) is a linguistic theory that aims to model language comprehensively from the viewpoint of its functions. We have been studying Japanese text processing based on SFLT as a basis for language-based intelligent information processing. We have developed a database of linguistic knowledge called the Semiotic Base, and formulated a text understanding method using it. In this paper, we focus on lexicogrammatical analysis, which has the highest computational complexity in text understanding process, and present an efficient analysis method that uses a general-purpose dependency analysis tool.
