Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A fast parsing technique for HPSG is presented. Recent research on lexicalized grammar parsing have shown that a technique called supertagging improves both the parsing speed and the accuracy. We show that further speed-up is possible by eliminating non-parsable lexical entry sequences from the output of the result of supertagging. Experimental results show that our system gives comparable accuracy with a speed-up by a factor of ten (16 msec/sentence) compared to the best published result using the same grammar.
