| Abstract(in English) | We propose a method for detecting video shot change. There are two kinds of shot change, cut and transition like the fade and the dissolve. A lot of methods for detecting shot change have been proposed. Many of these methods are proposed for detecting cut. And a small number or these method proposed for detecting transition, but, many of them deal with a small part of the kinds and length of transition. Therefore, we examine the requirement for detecting the cut and transition. And, we propose a method for detecting both cut and transition. On the test using video of TV programs, our method have detected over 74% of cut and over 76% of transition. |
