Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We propose a variable directivity antenna composed with a feed slot and reactively loaded slots on its both side. The slots are made on a flat cavity so that the antenna can be put on a conductor plate. The beam steering performance is basically investigated, by expressing the working gain and the direction of a main beam as a contour on the reactance coordinates based on an equivalent steering vector model. It is shown that the beam direction can be steered by changing the reactance values continuously. The dependences on the slot width, the depth of the cavity and the permittivity of the cavity are studied.
