Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a new approach for indoor localization using array antennas. In this method, we use not only the signal strengths of received signals, but also the spatial information of impinging signals on array antennas. The signal subspaces, which include information about the strengths and angles of arrival of impinging signals on the array antenna, are utilized as the terminal fingerprint to identify the location of the terminal. We conducted an experiment indoors to confirm the validity and effectiveness of our method. We also discuss several signal processing methods for the proposed method. The experimental results confirm its effectiveness.
