Abstract(in English) We have proposed Gigabit Ethernet-Optical Switched Access Network (GE-OSAN) architecture that realizes the longer transmission distance and achieves higher security than the conventional PON (Passive Optical Network) architecture. We provided the optical packet switching method in the upstream and downstream directions and also clarified the configuration of Optical Switching Module (OSM). To demonstrate the validity of the proposed architecture, we developed the prototype of OSM which performs downstream optical packet switching. This paper presents the configuration and specifications of the OSM prototype, and its evaluation results.
