Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The 2006 IEEE Fellow was awarded for contributions to ferrite application to RF/microwave devices. In this paper, while looking back on these topics related to ferrite application to RF/microwave devices, particularly focusing on the topics of medical applications and EM wave absorbers, the way of researches and their approaches are overviewed. First, the topics of thermal therapy for cancer treatment using ferrite core applicator system are described. Second, as to how to simply design microwave absorbers, the method of equivalent transformation method of material constant (ETMMC) is introduced. Consequently, new metamaterial which is called autonomous control metamaterial (ACMM) is introduced on the bases of new concept of metamaterial which has been obtained as the result of both biological and material research fields.
