Abstract(in English) | NICT started new 5 years middle-term plan in April 2006 and reorganized the research field into three major areas. They are "New-generation Network Construction Technology", the "Universal Communication Foundations Technology", and the "ICT for Safety and Security". The space communications technology research is involved in the New-generation Network construction technology field as one of the important network to achieve ubiquitous network that cannot be accomplished only by terrestrial networks. In this presentation, the positioning of the space communication technology R&D in the NICT's new middle-term plan is described and some ongoing activities and future plan of NICT are introduced.. |
