Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Kinds of handshapes on both hands of the JSL signs seem to be independent of each other. Investigation of the relationship between the handshapes of both hands, however, makes it clear that the occurrence of the handshapes on both hands has a certain interaction, and the interaction derives from the principle that amount of information of paired handshapes of both hands may not exceed a certain value.
