Abstract(in English) | The purpose of this research is to examine characteristics of saccadic eye movement (saccade) as an interface of the automatic perimetry. In this study, we have collected basic data on the possibility of using saccade as an index for visual field measurement, and developed a prototype of objective perimetry system combining VSG and Eyetracker Toolbox. Three experiments were conducted in this research. In experiment 1, we tested whether or not saccade occurs when the target appears in peripheral visual field at very short duration. In experiment 2, we examined characteristics of saccade as an index of target detection. In experiment 3, we tested the effect of feedback to increase the eye movement. Finally, these results showed that saccade was useful for index of target detection, and feedback was effective to motivate subjects' intention. |
