Abstract(in English) Brillouin scattering in photonic crystal fibers (PCFs) was investigated experimentally and numerically. It was observed that the acoustic mode distribution in PCF changed by the position and size of air holes and the behavior of guided acoustic wave brillouin scattering was different from that of the conventional optical fiber. The structural dependence of the frequency shift with brillouin scattering was also discussed based on the numerical calculation.
