An Optical Feeding Antenna with Wide Bandwidth for Site Evaluation of Radiated Emission Test Site above 1 GHz

Abstract(in English) In order to widen the bandwidth of the antenna used for site evaluation of the radiated emission test above 1GHz, we construct the optical feeding antenna using UTC-PD (Uni-Traveling-Carrier Photodiode), in which antenna elements combined a biconical antenna with a hemisphere are used. Radiated emission characteristics of the optical feeding antenna is calculated by FDTD method, and compared with that measured, and it is clear that the calculated values agree with the measured one. As for the directivity of the radiated electric field of the optical feeding antenna, it is confirmed that the directivity in frequency range of 1 to 6GHz comply with the requirement proposed by CISPR (International Special Committee on Radio Interference) /A/648/CDV. Moreover, the frequency characteristic of the radiated electric field in 1 to 6GHz was an almost flat characteristic with the deviation of only 9dB, and the electric field level of about 97to106dBμV/m was obtained.
