Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In ubiquitous computing environment, there are many kind of devices (ubiquitous devices) around the world. These devices are connected each other through network, which enables us to use them flexibly such as sharing functions on the respective devices one another. In this situation, because of the large number of devices, there is much difficulty in managing and operating those ubiquitous devices. Therefore, it is required to develop a new management method that can be applied for huge number of devices. In this paper, we propose a device management method that can be applied for ubiquitous computing environment using queries. By considering a device as a table in a database, we can use devices and share functions on devices by applying queries to the respective tables. We clarify the relationship among tables, tuples, queries and ubiquitous devices and explain our mechanism.
