Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this manuscript, a new cognitive radio (CR) system for short-range wireless communication is proposed. CR systems can effectively use the frequency recourses to recognize white spaces and adapt communication channels. However, a CR system is required that interference power to other systems is minimized for coexistence with other systems. The proposed CR system can accurately recognize the frequency domain and time domain usage of other systems by using estimation of modulation scheme and two kinds of carrier senses. One is short time carrier sense before transmission, and the other is long time carrier sense for scanning wide band. In addition, for using small white spaces, analog circuits are made up of simple structures while digital circuits generate multiple single-carrier signals.
