Abstract(in English) This paper proposes structure and channel coding schemes for Layer 1 (L1)/Layer 2 (L2) control information symbols appropriate for OFDM based radio access with multiple transmission bandwidths in the Evolved UTRA downlink. Features of the proposed multiplexing and channel coding schemes are as follows: (1) Block-wise multiplexing to support multiple transmission bandwidths from 1.25 to 20MHz, (2) division into common and dedicated L1/L2 control information and optimum multiplexing of the respective control information, (3) separate channel coding among different UEs for UE-common L1/L2 control information and separate coding between UE-common and UE-specific L1/L2 control information for the same UE. The paper describes the features and merits of the proposed structure for L1/L2 control information bits and presents computer simulation results that show that the proposed channel coding scheme for L1/L2 control information reduces the required transmission power compared to other coding schemes.
