Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The fabrication and characteristics of organic light-emitting devices (OLEDs) with multi layered high conductive poly (ethylenedioxythiophene): poly (styrene sulfonic acid) (PEDOT:PSS) and indium tin oxide (ITO) as an anode were investigated. The typical device consists of an PEDOT:PSS/ITO- coated glass substrate, 4,4'-bis[N-(1-napthyl)-N-phenyl-amino]- biphenyl (α-NPD) hole transporting layer and tris (8-hydroxquinoline) aluminum (Alq_3) emissive layer, terminated with a LiF/Al/Ag cathode. The emitting pattern of OLEDs with high conductive PEDOT:PSS/4nm-ITO electrode as an anode improves, compared with that with only high conductive PEDOT:PSS electrode. By inserting the hole injection layer between an anode and hole transport layer, the emission pattern and device performance improve. In the case of the OLED with PEDOT:PSS/4nm-ITO electrode inserted the hole injection layer, a maximum luminance of 6,600 cd/m^2 and maximum current efficiency of approximately 2cd/A have been obtained
