Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this study, we aimed for the development of biometrics sensor by odor, using odor type which is peculiar to individual. Comparing with the other personal authentication technique, biometrics sensing by odor has a lot of advantages; such as high characteristic, remote measurement and non-invasion. In order to develop such sensor, we have focused the molecular size of odorants and manufactured the odor separation and detection device. Using this device, we could detect not only some samples of organic acids and alcohols, related to the odor type of biological body odor, but also the constitution ratio of body odor.
