Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Poly (di-methyl silane), the most fundamental organopolysilane, is now commercially available. However, it is not solved in organic solvent at room temperature. On the other hand, poly (methyl ethyl silane) and poly (methyl phenyl silane), which have asymmetric side-chains, are solved in organic solvent at room temperature. In this work, molecular structure and packing of poly (methyl ethyl silane) and poly (methyl phenyl silane) have been studied. Characteristic features of molecular structure and packing are discussed on the bases of the obtained data.
