Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Requirement for powerful ultra high-performance computer system pushes the research and development of technologies for large-scale distributed grid systems. Besides the computer systems, networks play an important role, as well. With an efficient underlying network in terms of bandwidth and delay, the performance of the whole system will be improved significantly. In the previous researches, for distributed parallel computations, for example, using Message-Passing Interface (MPI), normally the underlying network is given, then process mapping problem is resolved. In this paper, we propose an approach to design an optimized underlying lightpath network combined with a processes/processors mapping to support the large-scale parallel computing applications.
