Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Two-dimensional KS test [3], [5] evaluates the difference of two-dimensional distributions. Application of two-dimensional KS test has been rather limited so far because the computational time increases rapidly as the sample size increases. We found that the most important part of KS-test can be represented by using the function form of particle simulations. KS-test has been successfully accelerated using PROGRAPE-4 with usual PC. PROGRAPE-4 is an acceleration board with FPGA. We show the detail of implementation and its performance, and discuss its application to astrophysics.
