Application of Translation Error As Similarity Measurement for On-Line Handwriting Verification

Abstract(in English) The rapid development of information society enhances the importance of information security technologies, for example, encryption algorithm, firewall system, authentication system and so on. Especially, in order to design more developed authentication system, we focus on dynamic biometrics, which authenticates by using features generating from human's movement. This paper proposes translation error which is a novel similarity measurement for efficient evaluation of dynamic feature. Evaluation experiment shows that translation error works better than DP matching for measuring dynamic individuality among several handwriting time series for on-line handwriting verification.
