Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | In this paper we propose the TCP-proxy and new TCP protocol optimized for OPN(Optical Packet Network) which have constant packet loss caused by lack of optical memory. TCP-proxy can shorten RTT(Round Trip Time) by dividing TCP-connection, extend limit of window size, and enable to introduce new TCP protocol between proxies without changing clients protocol. The key idea of proposed TCP is VBWE(Virtual available Bandwidth Estimated). VBWE is defined by packet lossrate observed. Proposed TCP itself attaines one and half times higher throughput compared with conventional TCP(Reno), and achieve triple throughput with tcp-proxy. |
