Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recent standardizations of high-speed wireless local area networks and video codec with high compression rate enable us to receive video streaming or download services in wireless environments. It is difficult to achieve fast transmission throughput stably. Therefore, the service management scheme to achieve a good balance between the user's satisfaction (Utility) and network resource is needed. In video download services, user's satisfaction depends on both the latency time and the video quality. In this paper, we firstly measure utility for the video quality and video download services by subjective assessments. Next, we newly propose a service management scheme to maximize utility for given throughput.
