Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we aim to update the road map more precisely by matching the existing 1/25,000 scaled road map to aerial images. We use Network Active Shape Models(NASMs) to refine the road maps. The method can deform preseving the shape of the existing road maps and the connections of the road networks. Furthermore, we describe the way to determine the parameter of NASMs that controls a rigidness of shape automatically. Furthermore, we propose a method to fit more accurately by removing the outlier of the extracted non-salient road points. The NASMs deforms gradually towords matching the roads on the aerial image correctly according to the line filtering. Finally, the proposed method is validated by experimental tests using aerial images and existing road maps.
