Abstract(in English) We investigated the potential of optical wireless communication system between trains and ground. One of our approaches uses LD leaky GI-POF (Graded-Index Plastic Optical Fiber) and another way uses LD and cylindrical concave lens. In this paper, we report performance of these systems and results of experiment in the field at RTRI (Railway Technical Research Institute).
