Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The histogram equalization is a well-known image processing algorithm which possibly converts input images into contrast-enhanced images with uniformly-distributed histograms. However, due to discreteness of input digital images, the histograms obtained by the conventional algorithm are far from the uniform distribution. This paper proposes a new histogram equalization algorithm which can provides almost uniformly-distributed images by applying all-pass filter to input digital images.
