Robust Posture Estimation of Human Face under Lighting Changes Using Brightness Correlation Signs

Abstract(in English) In this study, we proposed the human face posture estimation algorithm with robustness for a bad condition including the lighting change. Correspondence to the lighting change for estimation by represented by LDA of 2-D base conventional technique is difficult. There was a problem in the use in daily life when the object person's cooperation could not be received. In the proposed technique, it corresponds to the lighting change by using the brightness correlation positive and negative sign strong 3-D shape data and in the image 2-D for brightness to change. The average accuracy 89[%] and the average process speed 6[f/s] were obtained by using the brightness correlation sign of 3-D data.
