| Abstract(in English) | In this paper we propose the new dead reckoning method in distributed virtual environment (DVE) to extrapolate the attribute data which arrives at discrete time period. We have already analyzed the current polynomial type of dead reckoning models and formalized their extrapolation error. Based on the result of our analysis, we tried to improve the accuracy of the current dead reckoning method and to estimate these error. Theoretical models show that the differences calculated in the small temporal interval are efficient to improve the accuracy and to estimate the error. In order to extrapolate the data accurately and to estimate the error, the new dead reckoning protocol is proposed. The simulation experiments are performed to evaluate the validity of the proposed method with the comparison of current method from the viewpoints of the extrapolation error and the accuracy of the estimation of the error. As a result, we confirmed that the extrapolation error can be decreased in comparison with the current method in average by using the proposed method. Moreover, we confirmed that both of the extrapolation error in the proposed method and that in the current method can be estimated by using the theoretical models. |
