Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Car navigation systems have widely become common and greatly contributed route guidance of road traffic. However, it is necessary to improve route guidance of a car navigation system to inform the driver of necessary information more quickly and correctly. In this paper we propose a method which displays the image on Augmented Reality. However, there is a problem that displaying moving image is prohibited. So, we propose a method which selects the best shot chosen from the images taken by the camera on car. We developed a prototype system of route guidance based on Augmented Reality and made an evaluation experiment which compares our system to current car navigation system. In the result, we confirmed usefulness of our system.
