Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Materials of the stepwise two-photon process for the holographic storage were studied. Oligothiophene and aryl azide (DZDS) were chosen and the excited states of them were investigated. Molecular packing between these molecules were analyzed with molecular mechanics calculation. Some packing structures have been derived where several DZDS molecules are around the oligothiophene π-electrons. Various films were prepared by changing the density ratio between DZDS and oligothiophene. The holographic efficiency was measured for them. It has been found that we can enhance the efficiency better than before by adjusting the density ratio.
