| Abstract(in English) | Recent progress including Er-fiber amplifiers has made laser output power very high even for optical communication fields, thus requiring to design optical communication systems taking into account the laser safety standards. This talk reviews basic items related to the laser effects on the human eyes/skin as well as principal matters defined in JIS C 6803 "Safety of laser products-Safety of optical fibre communication systems". established at January 2006. |
