Abstract(in English) We experimentally discuss single-mode transmission characteristics of a 1.3μm zero-dispersion single-mode fiber in a shorter wavelength region of less than a cutoff. We investigate modal group delay time difference characteristics at both 853 and 1064nm utilizing a lateral offset launching. We also investigate the influence of the higher order mode on the bit error rate characteristics at 853 and 1064nm.
