Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We propose a connection scheme employing asymmetric paths to enhance the system throughput in the multihop communications system, where data packets and control packets are transmitted by a multihop connection and a single hop connection, respectively. This scheme reduces the transmission delays of control packets, allowing the connection-based protocol to work efficiently. The simulation analysis using a TDMA/TDD scheme shows that the proposed scheme provides a gain up to 20% in the system throughput, and that a slot allocation scheme in an descending order of the number of hops effectively improves the throughput of multihop-connected MSs.
