Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Broadband packet access techniques will be required for the next generation mobile communications systems. Multi carrier CDMA (MC-CDMA) is a promising multi-access technique. Hybrid ARQ (HARQ) is one of the promising error control techniques. Recently, LDPC coding has gained much attention. The bit error rate (BER) performance of the LDPC-coded multi-code MC-CDMA degrades in a severe frequency-selective fading channel due to the inter-code interference (ICI). The frequency-domain adaptive interference cancellation (FDAIC) has been proposed to reduce the ICI. In this paper, we propose adaptive modulation in an LDPC code word and the use of FDAIC for LDPC-coded MC-CDMA HARQ. The throughput performance in a frequency selective Rayleigh fading channel is evaluated by computer simulation.
