Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Sound and Voice guide are essential for the visually impaired persons to move around crowded urban environments. For developing the intelligent system with voice and sound guide functions for walking for the visually impaired persons, we conducted an experimental observation (ten visually impaired participants) and analysis for what appropriate protocol (or guide) are at a railway station, how proper instructions (Communication for guiding the visually impaired persons) are used for walking, how participants have the heuristic significances for phonetic (voice and sound) information. We analyzed the walking guide interface and walking guide systems using AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process).
