Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the nondestructive evaluation (NDE) using SQUIDs, the distance between the SQUID and a sample is reduced as much as possible to improve of the sensitivity. To detect a sample to which we can't approach the sensor head closely, a remote NDE with a SQUID set several centimeters away from a sample was examined. We measured Al and Fe plates with a through-hole. The signal from the plates was detected up to 5cm away from the SQUID. This results show the possibility of remote NDE using SQUIDs.
