Abstract(in English) | Introduction: We examined whether implicit motion signals can induce vection (self-motion perception) without explicit motion signals. Method: We used movies of walkers as stimuli. Backscroll illusion (Fujimoto & Sato, 2002,2006) without background was used as a pure implicit motion stimulus. Results: In 4 walkers conditions, strong enough vection compared with normal vection was induced. In 1 walker conditions vection was not induced. Conclusion: If the implicit motion signals without explicit motion signals are strong enough, they can induce vection. |
