Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this research, we assessed the influence of visual image's parameters on walking distances within 10-30m. Subjects were given visual images, virtual routes, on head-mounted display and asked to walk as same as the distance which they walked as standard. The density of objects around the virtual route and the image speed were varied. As results, there wasn't the clear influence of visual images on walking distances. This could implicate independent systems of walking estimation and visual estimation for distances within relatively short walking.
